IMAP or POP: Which Protocol Should I Use?
When setting up your email client, choose IMAP if you want to access your SFR emails from multiple devices, like your phone, tablet, and computer, and keep everything in sync. It’s ideal if you often check your email on the go.
Choose POP if you only use one device for email and prefer downloading messages to store them locally, which can save space on the server. However, with POP, changes like deleting or reading messages won’t show up on other devices.
For most users today, especially those using multiple devices, IMAP is the better choice. Always make sure you use the correct SFR mail settings stated above to ensure your email works properly.
