What is better? POP or IMAP?
The decision between POP and IMAP depends on how you'd like to use your emails:
If you configure your PrivateEmail email account with POP3, your emails will be fetched from the server and saved on your device. This allows you to access your emails even when you're not connected to the internet. Furthermore, you can save disk space and avoid running out of storage capacity in your PrivateEmail email account. However, with POP, it's necessary to regularly perform a backup of your emails, as they are only stored on the device you downloaded the message to.
In case you'd like to use your PrivateEmail email account on multiple devices, IMAP is the better option. With IMAP, your emails are still stored on the PrivateEmail mail servers, allowing you to sync the status of your mailbox between multiple devices. What's more, with IMAP, you don't need to worry about performing an email backup.
