ℹ️ When using the auto sync or backup mode with a defined date range, only emails received within that range will be synced. Emails outside the range won’t be transferred.
Migrate Emails by Date or Date Range:
Frequent Questions
Can I change the date filter after the migration?
No. To change the start or end date, disable the auto sync (if enabled) and start a new migration with the updated dates.
If the new date range overlaps with the previous one, already-migrated emails will be skipped. For example, if you migrate 2023 emails first, and later include both 2023 and 2024, the 2023 emails won’t be migrated again.
Do I need to empty the target mailbox before starting a new migration with updated dates?
It depends on your goal:
- If you’re extending the date range to add more emails, there’s no need to empty the mailbox.
- If you’ve migrated emails you didn’t intend to, clear the mailbox before starting the new migration.
What happens to emails that failed to migrate initially (e.g. due to a server error)?
If the emails fall within your selected date range, they will be migrated automatically once the issue is resolved and the auto sync is enabled. Can I use the auto sync with a date range?
Yes, but keep in mind that the date filter applies here too. Emails received after the specified end date will not be synced.Still have further questions?
