GoDaddy Email Server Settings
GoDaddy is a renowned web hosting and domain registration company founded in 1997 in the United States. Serving as a leading domain registrar and web hosting provider, GoDaddy offers a spectrum of services beyond domains and hosting, including website building tools, online marketing solutions, and email services.
Trusted by more than 21 million customers, GoDaddy is a popular choice for individuals and businesses alike. Because of its user-friendly interface, popular website builder and wide range of digital services, GoDaddy has become a household name. If you're among the millions of GoDaddy users and are searching for the latest GoDaddy email server settings, you've landed in the right spot.
⚠️ Before you start: ⚠️ GoDaddy has two email servers – GoDaddy Office 365 and GoDaddy IMAP. If you are using GoDaddy Legacy IMAP, you should consider migrating to GoDaddy 365 or Microsoft 365 since GoDaddy is no longer investing in IMAP.

POP Security | SSL |
Username | Your full email address (youraddress@domain.com) |
Password | Your GoDady password |
What is the difference between POP3 and IMAP?
When setting up your GoDaddy email, one decision you need to make is whether to use IMAP or POP for incoming emails.
If you opt for IMAP, any modifications you make to your emails (such as reading or deleting an email) will be synchronized across all devices you use to access your email. As opposed to IMAP, when using POP, changes will only be reflected on the device where you initially downloaded your email. Therefore, opting for POP or IMAP highly depends on your personal preferences.
With IMAP, your emails remain on the mail server, which is not only convenient for multi-device usage, but also an extra security measure. While you loose your email data with POP when the device containing your emails (smartphone, computer…) gets lost / does not work anymore, you can still access your emails when opting for IMAP.
A general advise is to choose IMAP over POP, as it allows you to access the same emails on multiple devices like smartphones, tablets, and PCs. However, if you have a large mailbox and need to conserve storage capacity, POP3 is freeing up storage space in your mailbox.
