How our Gmail Migration Tool Works
Simply follow these few steps to migrate emails to Gmail or from Gmail to another provider:
1. Download our app or start your migration directly online.
2. Set up a new Gmail migration by clicking on “New Migration”.
3. Select the account type of the old provider and enter the mailbox credentials and mail server address in the fields for existing address.
➡️ When migrating away from Gmail, select Gmail as existing account type and connect with your account.
4. For the new address, do the same (select account type, enter credentials and mail server address).
➡️ When migrating to Gmail, select Gmail as new account type and connect with your account.
5. Click on “Check Settings” and wait until MailJerry performed a health-check for both accounts.
6. You can now review the planned Gmail migration in the summary. As soon as you’re ready, start the migration by clicking on “Start Your Migration”.

Absolutely! In this case, select Gmail as account type for your old and new address, connect with both accounts and you’re good to go!

When using MailJerry, your account data and emails remain completely confidential, since messages are directly migrated between the selected providers. MailJerry does not store any access data and it’s not possible for MailJerry to read your emails or delete any messages.
What kind of data does MailJerry migrate from or to Gmail?
MailJerry migrates all email data that is accessible via IMAP. This includes all messages, drafts and sent emails as well as the complete folder and label hierarchy.

Can I perform a delta migration / mailbox sync after the Gmail migration?
Yes, that’s absolutely no problem. After the initial migration is complete, you can perform a delta migration anytime by clicking on the “Sync Now” button on the migration details page.
Furthermore, you can enable the auto-sync, which checks your accounts every three hours for new emails and migrates them as well.
If you wish to keep your accounts synced over a prolonged period of time, the backup mode allows you to regularly perform a delta migration (daily, weekly or monthly interval).
Are the messages downloaded to my computer during the migration?
No. MailJerry is a cloud-based Gmail migration tool and migrates your mailbox data directly between the selected providers. This means that you do not need to download emails to your device or mess around with PST or EML files!
Are there any account limitation for Gmail migrations?
No. MailJerry works with all Gmail accounts and even provides tried-and-tested workarounds in case you need to migrate huge amounts of data and therefore hit Gmails bandwidth limitations.

Are there any tips in case I exceed Googles bandwidth limitations?

For sure! In the migration summary, enable the date filter and select a start or end date or specify a date range for emails that should be included in the migration to Gmail.
