In 2020, CenturyLink had its name changed to Lumen Technologies Inc. This change did not only affect the brand name, but also the CenturyLink stock. Since then, the existing CenturyLink products were divided into multiple sections: Using the brand name „CenturyLink“, the company continues to offer internet services for private individuals and small business. This, of course, includes email services. Therefore, there is no need to worry: CenturyLink continues to exist as brand name and your email service remains unchanged!
How to Add Your CenturyLink Email to Any Software:
To add your CenturyLink email address to any email software, you need two sets of account settings: One to receive emails (IMAP or POP) and another to send emails (SMTP). So simply scroll down to the corresponding sections and add them to any email client!
CenturyLink Email Settings for IMAP
Use the following CenturyLink IMAP settings to set up your email account. Simply add them in the section for „incoming emails“ and you’ll be able to receive new emails in no time. To migrate emails from or to your CenturyLink email account using MailJerry, also refer to the IMAP settings below!

Should I use IMAP or POP?
Usually, it’s best to rely on the IMAP protocol to receive emails in your email client. With IMAP, your emails stay on the CenturyLink email servers. This means that you can add your email address to multiple devices. Changes to an email that are performed on one device are automatically synchronised with the mailserver and reflected on all devices.
POP is a good choice if you need to free up storage space on your CenturyLink account: With POP, your messages are downloaded to your device and deleted from the mail server. But be aware that you’ll need to backup your messages regularly as they’re no longer backed up by CenturyLink!
